The Adero Canyon Trailhead is accessible from dawn to dusk each day, seven days a week. To access the Town of Fountain Hills Adero Canyon Trailhead, located at 14800 N. Eagle Ridge Drive, follow N Eagle Ridge Drive from Palisades through the Adero Canyon neighborhoods. In addition, many trails are adjacent to homes and communities and all hikers should respect private property
Lake Overlook Trail
The Lake Overlook Trail is an easy-moderate 1.5 mile hike that is accessible from the heart of downtown Fountain Hills and offers outstanding views of the Town and the surrounding mountains. The south trailhead is located at Panorama Blvd. between Vista Del Lago and Diamante Drive. The north trail head is located at Panorama Blvd. just east of Saguaro Blvd. Download a map here.
Fountain Hills McDowell Mountain Preserve
Thanks to the foresight of local residents, much of the McDowell Mountains have been preserved for wildlife and future generations to enjoy. The Sonoran Conservancy manages 824 acres of land as part of the Fountain Hills McDowell Mountain Preserve. The preserve has more than five miles of trails, and the conservancy offers three to five scheduled, guided hikes each month. McDowell Mountain Regional Park
Located north of Fountain Hills is McDowell Mountain Regional Park covering over 20,000 acres. With over 50 miles of hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails, the park provides plenty of opportunity to explore desert wildlife and view the scenic natural landscape. Fountain Hills Desert Botanical Garden
The eight-acre Fountain Hills Desert Botanical Garden features 29 different types of desert plants. Visitors can learn more about the natural desert landscape on an easy half mile loop trail through the garden.
Fountain Hills FIT Trails
Fountain Hills has three interconnected FIT trails that take you from Fountain Park through the Civic Center to Golden Eagle Park, near Fountain Hills High School, and around the Sunridge Canyon Golf Club. Additional connecting trails are planned. Download a map here.
