Fourth at the Fountain – A Fountain Hills 4th of July Celebration!
Put on your red, white and blue and join friends and neighbors at Fountain Park on Monday, July 4 to celebrate Independence Day! The celebration will kick off at 6:00pm with music, games, and prizes. DJ Steve Grosz will keep the whole family moving and grooving with great tunes throughout the night. And what July 4 event would be complete without some pyrotechnics? The 4th at the Fountain program will conclude with a majestic fireworks display at 9:00pm over the park’s picturesque lake.
This year, a new event format will be introduced as the entertainment area will be free and open to all event guests. The Fourth at the Fountain program has been designed to be a community-wide event open to all. This year attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets to relax and enjoy an evening full of fun throughout the park. Food vendors will also be on hand with Italian ice, frozen lemonade, and other goodies to help you beat the heat.

Public parking throughout downtown Fountain Hills will be available. Please note temporary road closures will be in effect at the end of the program to help allow pedestrians to exit the park. Event guests are welcome to bring Frisbees, balls, and other games but to please observe the following:
- No Glass
- No alcohol
- No personal fireworks, sparklers or other open flames
- Due to the fireworks, we suggest all pets be kept home for their safety

It’s the Greatest Show on Grass!
It is that time of year again, time for every golf enthusiast to make your way to the “Greatest Show on Grass” also known as the Phoenix Open this February 1-7, 2016. This year’s festivities are particularly special as the Town’s Tourism Division makes its sponsorship debut at the Open! Not only does Fountain Hills have a full-page advertisement in the Phoenix Open program guide, but Fountain Hills is also the proud sponsor of hole #11!
The Phoenix Open festivities begin on Monday, February 1 with the practice rounds for the PGA Tour pros. Tuesday opens with more professional practice rounds followed by the ever-popular trick shot show and junior golf clinic. Wednesday welcomes the Pro-Am as well as the opening of the Coors Light Birds Nest entertainment tent. The real festivities begin on Thursday with the first round beginning bright and early at 7:30 a.m. Rounds continue through the rest of the weekend.
Adorned on the hole sign for hole #11 patrons to this popular spring sporting event will see the proud logo of the Fountain Hills Tourism Division. Hole #11 is a par 4 and is 472 yards in length. Show your pride for the town we know to be the best town in the world and come to the Phoenix Open next week in a show of support for our tourism efforts. It is a tradition for hole #16 to be the most popular but with a little community support, we can make our sponsored hole even more popular!

For the first time in Arizona, this one of a kind slip and slide event, Slide the City is coming to Fountain Hills! What better way to cool off from the scorching Arizona sun than with 1000 feet of slip and slide fun? A day full of water park-style fun awaits you at this upcoming special event. Bring your swimsuit, friends, and family!
In addition to the main slip and slide attraction, the event will also feature; water games, food, music and much more! All sliders must slide on a tube, you may bring your own or tubes may be purchased at the event. Any participant who purchases a Triple slider or VIP slider package will receive a tube free of charge.
All VIP sliders will also get the chance to slide one hour prior to the official start of the event, as well as an additional hour after the close of the event!
The event is open on Saturday, April 25th from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. VIP sliding is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Basic Event FAQ’s
- Remember to bring your own tube! Tubes are required for all riders. For VIP ticket purchases your tube is included in the ticket price.
- Children ages 5 and older or who are over 46 inches tall are welcome to slide!
- If you do not want to ride, you do not have to pay for a ticket to be a part of the event.
- For safety reasons, all riders must slide in their own tube, no lap riding.

This event takes place on Palisades Boulevard between Sunflower Rd. and Lost Hills Drive. Parking will be at Fountain Hills High School, as well as nearby church parking lots. Shuttles to and from the churches will be available during the hours of the event. Road closures and detours will be in effect and event participants are encouraged to use Fountain Hills Blvd as their primary route. This event will be held near a residential district and we ask participants to park in designated parking locations only.
