Fourth at the Fountain; A 4th of July Celebration!

On July 4, 2015 we celebrate the 239th anniversary of our American Independence, and what better way to show our American pride then with an outdoor celebration of our freedom!  Ordinary 4th of July festivities consist of BBQ’s, floating in the pool, rocket pops and of course a fireworks display, but Fountain Hills is no ordinary community and you can bet that our Fourth at the Fountain celebration isn’t either!  Begging the question; what do parachutes, water slides, rock walls, and fireworks all have in common?  All of those, and much more, will be featured at the Town of Fountain Hills Fourth at the Fountain event!

Our one of a kind community is putting on a one of a kind event with food, fun, fireworks, and of course, our World Famous Fountain!  Fourth at the Fountain festivities will also include: live DJ, a patriotic parachuting demonstration, bounce houses, a beer garden, food and beverages, and last but not least, fireworks show starting at 9:30 p.m. over our World Famous Fountain!  This year we also welcome the addition of water slide and a 25-foot tall rock climbing wall to the kid’s area.  The event will take place from 5:00 p.m. to – 10:00 p.m. in Fountain Park.

Start a new tradition by joining us for our star-spangled Fourth at the Fountain Independence Day celebration in Fountain Park!    Enjoy your Fourth at our Fountain!

A Look Back

A Look Back

The holiday season is in full swing and the New Year quickly approaches, and as with many others this time of year, we too are reflecting on what the past 365 days have meant to us.

2014.  In a word; WOW!  The Fountain Hills Office of Tourism has many incredible things to reflect on this year.  First thing is first, 2014 has brought the tourism program under Town direction and with that the creation of our dynamic duo!  Where would I be without my other half, Rachael?  Well I can tell you one thing for sure; Tourism Thursdays would be very boring without her!  Over the past year Rachael and I have been working hard to bring excitement and exposure to Fountain Hills.  From this program we have launched a successful social media campaign, redesigned our tourism look and launched a major marketing campaign with one goal in mind; we want more visitors!  However, this past year has not just been a journey for the tourism program; it has been a journey for us as well.

We’ve gone to statewide conferences, farmers markets, recreation classes, and special events.  We’ve gorged ourselves on town staples like Senor Taco, Dj’s Bagel Café, and Chocofin.  We have found our fresh, found our food, found our festivals, found our family, and found our fun, but most importantly we have met some incredible people around town and that means that we have found it all!

We may be the team who are charged with bringing this town to visitor’s attention, but in all honesty Fountain Hills has brought itself to our attention.  We have experienced Fountain Hills and now it’s your turn!  We hope this blog inspires you to get out there, try something new, experience something unique that only this incredible town can offer, and find what Fountain Hills means to you.  Here’s to 2015 an everything it has in store for us, see you next year!

Ballet Under the Stars 2013

Ballet Arizona kicks off its 2013-14 season with this unique outdoor performance in Fountain Hills: Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 7 p.m.  The soft evening air, the Fountain silhouette, and contrast of the classic performance against the backdrop of the sunset on the mountains are awe-inspiring…much like the famed Santa Fe Opera experience.

“Ballet Under the Stars” heralds the opening of Ballet Arizona’s 2013-14 Season.  Bring folding chairs or a blanket, and even some munchies to enjoy. The entire family and enjoy a combination of classical and contemporary works in this breathtaking setting.

Important Note: plan to come early, to have the opportunity for premium seating. The Performance Pavilion fills up quickly for this event…especially the terraces which best accommodate folding chairs, and “motorized” transportation–walkers, wheelchairs and strollers.
