Welcome the holiday spirit to Fountain Hills at the annual Stroll in the Glow!
This traditional local event is the perfect place to celebrate the festivities of the holidays. Join Mayor Ginny Dickey as thousands of twinkling lights are illuminated; The Stroll will feature the traditional "lighting of the Avenue" around 5:45, on the Avenue of the Fountains - including the official Town of Fountain Hills Christmas Tree!
In addition to the lighting of the Avenue, the Stroll in the Glow will also feature the man in the big red suit...Santa Claus himself in a big red fire truck! Santa will arrive just about 6:00 PM for free photos, provided by the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce. ( Photos will be available for free online for parents to download.)
Avenue businesses are encouraged to open late and offer holiday fun for attendees of the event.
The Fountain Hills Young Community (FHYC) is hosting a holiday Bake-Off for children in partnership with Mathnasium of Fountain Hills. Kids aged 6-17 can participate in various bake-off categories such as cookies, cakes, pastries, and even a health-conscious category. Each category entry is $10.
Another feature of the Stroll in the Glow is the "Roll In The Glow" bike parade, hosted by the Town of Fountain Hills. Children are encouraged to decorate their bikes in glow materials and are invited to "roll" down the Avenue of the Fountains during the event. There will also be live music.
Regular favorites will also be back this year, including the Live Nativity and Letters to Santa station.
