Join us in the Sonoran Desert for a writing experience as day transitions to night. Participants will gather before sunset to capture the desert’s shift from daylight into darkness. Through guided writing exercises, you’ll work with the sounds, smells, textures, and changing light of twilight – that brief window when the landscape and sky transform.
This isn’t a traditional workshop. There’s no instruction on craft or technique. Instead, the desert itself provides the prompts. You’ll write in response to what’s happening around you, then share with the group for feedback if you choose.
No writing experience required. Just bring curiosity and a willingness to pay attention to a landscape most people rush through.
As darkness settles and writing becomes impossible, we’ll shift to stargazing and constellation stories, connecting the land beneath us to the sky above, a tradition that humans have followed for thousands of years.
