Saguaro Lake
Tonto National Forest offers a unique watering hole for desert explorers: Saguaro Lake. Across 22 miles of shoreline, this 1,264-acre reservoir is known to be one of the loveliest and most popular recreation sites, set among golden cliffs and rugged desert landscape. It’s a spectacular setting for hiking, birding, swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, horseback riding, and other outdoor activities. Saguaro Lake is a 25-minute drive from Fountain Hills and under an hour from Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Mesa.
