Join Fountain Hills Community Services for the 36th Annual Turkey Trot 5K Run & Fitness Walk on Thanksgiving morning, November 26. This valley-wide favorite runs around the world-famous fountain at Fountain Park. We offer something for everyone! You can choose from a 5K timed run or a 1.5-mile fitness walk. Be sure to dress up in your favorite Thanksgiving-themed costume to enter our Costume Contest. Your registration includes the traditional long-sleeved t-shirt.

The race starts at 7:15 am on the Avenue of the Fountains, just East of Verde River Dr.

5k - $35 + tax and processing fee
5k (12 and under) - $20 + tax and processing fee

Receive your Turkey Trot shirt and bib a week before everyone else! Early Bird Packet Pick Up will be November 16th - 19th from 7AM to 5:30PM at Fountain Hills Town Hall (16705 E. Avenue of the Fountains Fountain Hills, AZ 85268).

STANDARD REGISTRATION: Nov 2 - 15 or until full

AWARDS: Be sure to stay for the awards ceremony at 8:15 AM. Located near the Start Line.

Pre-registration is REQUIRED.
There will be NO ONSITE REGISTRATION on the event day.

We expect registration to be full by November 20th. We encourage early registration. Once full, no exceptions can be made. Registration filled early last year.

FINISHER MEDALS!

All 2026 Turkey Trot finishers, 5K and Fitness Walk, will receive a finisher medal as they cross the finish line. Please note that these medals will only be available at the finish line and cannot be picked up early or after the race.

FAQ's

All registrations are done through Race Roster
- Please register HERE. If customers can't register at home, they can register at the front desk on the 2nd floor of Town Hall. Credit cards are the only method of payment. Onsite registration will be available at Swag Snag but not on the day of the run.
When and where can runners get their bib and shirt?
- The runner's bib and shirt can be picked up at the Community Center Monday through Wednesday, November 23-25, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. during SWAG SNAG. There will NOT be bib or T-shirt pick-up on Race Day. Participants must bring their bibs, or they will not be timed on race day.
- We will stay open until 7 pm on Monday.
When is the last day to register?

Do I need to ask the participant for their shirt size?
- No, we order shirts far in advance but, we will have shirt sizes from a Youth Small to an Adult 3XL. We will likely have a shirt in your size.
Where should runners park?
- Parking in the Town Hall/Community Center parking lot is encouraged; however, the lot will be closed while the race is in progress. Once all runners are off the street, the lot will open up for exit traffic.
- For additional parking, Plot 208 behind the businesses on the Avenue of the Fountains is ideal.
Where is the parade?
- The parade will go from the corner of Saguaro Blvd and Parkview. The route then turns onto Avenue of the Fountains and continues up the Avenue and back down to Saguaro. The parade ends at Saguaro and El Lago. The parade begins at 9:30 am.
Where will the awards ceremony be held?
- The awards will be held at the Start/Finish line on the AOTF. We will begin the ceremony at approximately 8:15 a.m.
Can I run the race with my pet?
- To ensure the safety of all runners, we ask that you leave all pets at home.
Where does the race start?
- Avenue of the Fountains, just East of Verde River Dr.
Can I bring my children?
- All participants walking or running the course are required to register.
