Granite Mountain Loop

This moderate 5.5 mile hike begins at the Granite Mountain Trailhead in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. The trail loops around Granite Mountain, has beautiful views and often has wonderful flower displays in the spring. There are no steep climbs on this hike! There is the possibility of a side trip to Balanced Rock which will add about a 1/2 mile to the hike distance.

We will have a 30 minute (20 mile) drive to the trailhead, which has restrooms. Bring 2 liters of water and snacks or lunch; wear a hat and sturdy boots. Hiking poles recommended. No dogs, please.
