The Town of Fountain Hills is hosting its annual celebration of the town’s designation as an International Dark Sky Community with the Dark Sky Festival. Featured guest speakers include Dr. Rodrigo Medellin, known as the “Batman of Mexico” talking about the impacts of light pollution on living things, and astronomer Dean Regas will be our guide for exploring the night sky. Exhibitors will have wildlife and scientific displays for children and adults to enjoy throughout the Fountain Hills Community Center and the new International Dark Sky Discovery Center. Activities will conclude with the popular star party under the night skies.
