“We recently had the opportunity to play the Saguaro Course at We-Ko-Pa Golf Club, and the experience exceeded every expectation.
From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming, professional, and made the entire check-in process seamless. The clubhouse and pro shop are top-tier, offering an impressive selection of apparel, gear, and unique We-Ko-Pa merchandise. It’s easily one of the best golf shops we’ve visited.
We warmed up at the practice facility prior to our round, which is outstanding. The range, multiple putting greens, and short-game areas are thoughtfully laid out and extremely well maintained. We also opted to use rental clubs, which were premium Callaway sets and performed exceptionally well — honestly as good as any rental experience we’ve had.
The Saguaro Course itself is phenomenal. Designed by Coore & Crenshaw, it plays like a traditional, walkable course that flows naturally through the Sonoran Desert. The fairways are generous, but the approach shots and greens require precision, making the course both enjoyable and challenging. One of the best aspects is the complete absence of homes or roads — just pure desert, mountain views, and golf.
Course conditions were excellent throughout the round, and the on-course amenities were equally impressive. The carts were well stocked, GPS-equipped, and the halfway house offered a great selection of food and drinks right when we needed it. The back nine, especially near sunset, delivered some of the most scenic golf we’ve ever experienced.
We wrapped up the day back in the pro shop for a souvenir before heading out. Whether you’re visiting Arizona during peak season or planning a golf getaway at any time of year, We-Ko-Pa is an absolute must-play.
We can’t recommend it highly enough and are grateful for such a memorable experience.” - Iowa Fairway Finder,

“Was ana amazing experience. The whole staff was amazing from Frederick at the services, Dawn at the front desk, or Joe head vallet'. Dealers, heck the grounds crew was amazing. The golf staff was amazing the courses. Yes courses were amazing. A truly one of a kind experience. Very impressed with the hotel but we came for golf, and we're not disappointed. The courses were in PHENOMENAL shape. Greens were extremely fast and rolled as true as the north star. 1000 percent recommend staying and playing. We came for the WM. Glad we stayed at Wekopa. Its about 25 minutes from the TPC for those who want to know!!!” - Shawn M.,

“this is one of my favorite casinos. It’s off the beaten path on B line just 10 to 15 minutes from downtown Mesa five minutes from fountain Hills. The rooms are amazing. The food is great and and gambling. I have a better luck here than Casino Arizona or Talking Stick.” - Misha,

“We visited to attend the Joe Nichols concert. While there we ate at the buffet. I have to say the food was great. Prime rib that was tender and juicy. Concert was awesome and a decent venue.” - Neal J.,

“We had a blast at The Stables at Fort McDowell Adventures.
Our horses were Nugget, Ed, Fred, Harley, Dolly, and Jeff (yes, really 😂). The guides, Maya and Travis (“Biscuit”), were fantastic. Biscuit especially was hilarious and immediately made everyone feel comfortable—even for someone like me who hadn’t ridden a horse since I was about 4 and was definitely nervous going in.
The ride was about 90 minutes at a relaxed walking pace, which was perfect for beginners. The trail itself was beautiful—classic desert scenery with tons of cacti, cows along the way, and even crossing the Verde River twice. Crossing the river was both fun and a little nerve-wracking for us newbies, but the guides made it feel safe and manageable.
Bonus: the Australian shepherd dogs were incredibly friendly, sweet, and welcoming. They added such a fun, homey touch to the experience.
Highly recommend for first-timers and anyone looking for a scenic, laid-back trail ride in Arizona.” - Justin S.,
