Rio Verde Country Club (Private and 55+)

Address: 18731 E 4 Peaks Blvd, Rio Verde, AZ 85263
Phone: 480.471.7010 / 877.RIO.VERDE
Rio Verde features two traditional style courses with a soft desert look, more Midwestern in style with a lot more grass than one would imagine in a desert setting. When Tom Lehman led the $6 million course renovation project a few years ago, he achieved his vision of creating two uniquely distinct courses, giving members a never-ending variety of golf experiences. Quail Run has all the elements of a traditional golf course, while White Wing plays more like a links course. Common to both courses are meticulously groomed fairways, greens loaded with personality and outstanding mountain views.

Sunridge Canyon Golf Club

Address: 13100 Sunridge Dr, Fountain Hills, AZ 85268
Phone: 480.837.5100 / 800.562.5178
SunRidge Canyon’s 6,823-yard, par-71, Keith Foster-designed golf course unfolds around the rugged ridges and shady canyons unique to the Sonoran Desert mountains that divide Fountain Hills from Scottsdale, Arizona. This rugged golf course gradually descends on the way out before doubling back to climb up the slope on the way in. This subtle elevation change lies at the heart of a dramatic golf experience.

SunRidge Canyon is the home of the “Wicked Six,” the half dozen holes that are among the most memorable and dramatic closing holes to be found anywhere. Golfers also discover that SunRidge wasn’t so much created by a bulldozer as it was carved out over eons by the relentless pressure of wind and water. Foster had the good sense to follow Mother Nature’s lead, and in the end, the beauty and challenge of SunRidge Canyon is unlike any other desert golf experience in the Valley of the Sun.

Tonto Verde Golf Club

Address: 18401 E. El Circulo Dr., Rio Verde, AZ 85263
Phone: 480-471-2710
Website: www.TontoVerde.org
Tonto Verde is an active adult community located just 20 minutes east of Scottsdale. Surrounded by breathtaking mountain views and the Tonto National Forest, it’s protected from hectic traffic yet is close enough to provide a perfect balance with city life.
With two distinctly different and challenging 18-hole championship golf courses, Tonto Verde is a desert gem with national recognition for its charm and playability. The beauty of the area begins with its magnificent setting and spectacular golf but the true beauty comes from the people and the amazing sense of community. Tonto Verde is, quite simply, a place like no other.

Phone: 480.471.3232
Vista Verde opened in 2006 and is the newest addition to “The Verdes.” Designed by noted Arizona golf course architect Ken Kavanaugh, Vista Verde provides outstanding views on every hole. Ken has created a golf course reminiscent of famed Pinehurst #2 with undulating greens that fall off to surrounding chipping areas. The golf course at Vista Verde has five sets of tees to present a challenge for every skill level, and has served as host to numerous Gateway Tour events. You can prepare for your round at the state of the art practice range. Enjoy! Vista Verde is a course you can have fun playing again and again.
